Joondalup is one of the youngest of our core suburbs. The city centre and the surrounding residential areas were built from the late 1980s through the 2010s, so most homes are slab-on-ground double brick with tiled or metal roofs on timber or steel framing, on smaller blocks than Warwick or Duncraig.
